Sustad Memorial ALS Golf Classic

On July 22, 2023, at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, WE WILL ONCE AGAIN GOLF to honor the memory of Arden and his two brothers AND help the fight against ALS. 

During the 1st Annual Event held July 30, 2022, thanks to our generous 2022 sponsors, family, friends and golfers, we raised an astonishing $50,565!

Hosting this year’s event, Journey Technology Solutions and Carrie Sustad, have set an aggressive goal to raise $55,000 in order to keep Arden’s wish and passion for research and finding a cure ALIVE!

Golf Details

  • 18-hole, 4-person scramble
  • 3 flighted divisions
  • Prizes awarded to the top 2 teams in each flight
  • $400 - Golf Foursome - Register your Team! (Includes green fees, cart, lunch, dinner, 2 drink tickets)
  • $100 - Individual Golfer - Register now! (Includes green fees, cart, lunch, dinner, 2 drink tickets)
  • $20 - Individual Reception Meal only - Purchase in advance!

  • Prizes awarded to players from the top 2 teams in each of the 3 flights
  • Pin Prizes Awarded
  • Drawing for Prizes: Each golfer’s name will be put in a drawing for random prizes at the reception
  • Putting Contest Opportunity- Prizes for 1st and 2nd place | $5/putt or $10 for 3 putts - purchase in advance or day of event
  • Mulligans available to purchase in advance or day of event (2 per team member) | $80/team
  • Lunch-to-Go and Dinner Reception is included in golf fees - reception only can be purchased in advance for $20


All proceeds and purchases (including golf) for this tournament are direct donations to the ALS Association MN, ND, SD Chapter in an effort to help families living with ALS in our region. Journey Technology Solutions and Carrie Sustad are paying the golf course for all golf, meals and other expenses so that your donations go directly to this great cause!

Donation forms and online donations also will be available the day of the tournament.

There will be other ways to contribute the day of the golf classic as well (purchasing mulligans, putting contest, etc.) Payment can be made by checks made payable to the ALS Association or online. QR codes to donate online will be available at registration, throughout the course and in your golf carts.
